The following terms and conditions shall apply to the contracts between the Organizer Swissmem and the individual registrant ("Contracting Party"). They apply to the exclusion of any other provision or rule. Deviating terms and conditions are inapplicable.
1 Registration: We recommend to register well in advance. The Hotel Prices mentioned in the Registration form are guaranteed until 08/01/2018. After that the Hotel Prices are at best price.
Payment: After the event you will receive an invoice from the Organizer Swissmem, Zurich, Switzerland for the Conference Fee. The Hotel Rooms must be paid at the Hotel.
2 Cancellation: The Organizer plans the resources to be made available on the basis of the registrations received. When speakers, event premises, catering, hotel rooms, etc. are booked, the Organizer must make binding commitments well in advance to ensure a high level of quality at reasonable cost. This is why registrations for the event are final and binding. If a registration is withdrawn, however, the following cancellation charges will apply:
A substitute participant from the same company may be nominated free of charge. The Contracting Party is entitled to prove that the damage incurred by the Organizer is less.
3 Changes in the schedule: The Organizer reserves the right to change the original schedule in exceptional circumstances. Should the event be cancelled for previously unforeseeable reasons, the Contracting Party shall be informed forthwith. In such a case, the Organizer’s liability shall be limited to paying back the fees already received. Furthermore, Art. 2 shall apply.
4 Sound and image recording: Audio and image recording during the event shall require the prior written approval of the Organizer. The Contracting Party agrees that image and sound recordings of its person, made by the Organizer or a person appointed by the Organiser, can be made and used free of charge.
5 Data protection notice/declaration of consent: Data of the Contracting Party is stored and/or processed within the strict limits imposed by the Swiss Data Protection Act. Data is stored and/or processed solely for the purpose of implementing and accounting for the registration as well as for providing the Contracting Party with information on the range of services offered by Swissmem, Zurich, Switzerland.
Unless otherwise indicated by the Contracting Party, Swissmem will thereupon inform the Contracting Party by surface mail, email, fax or telephone about their services and upcoming events. The Contracting Party may withdraw its consent any time.
6 Liability: The Organizer in the fulfillment of its contractual obligations shall be liable only for its own intentional or grossly negligent acts or any such acts committed by its legal representatives and/or agents.
7 Severability clause: If a provision of this agreement is or becomes wholly or partially invalid, the validity of the remaining provisions of the agreement shall not be affected.
8 Applicable law and jurisdiction: With the registration the contracting party agrees on the applicability of Swiss substantial law on the contract. All disputes arising out of or in connection with the present contract shall be setteled by the Courts of Zurich, Switzerland.
