Mercy

Mercy has dreamt of becoming an airline pilot since she was a small child. Earlier this year, her father died suddenly leaving her mother in charge of the family with only a small plot of farming land to sustain them. Mercy was proud to earn her EFAC scholarship and plans to work diligently to achieve her dreams and mentor other girls who need a helping hand.

Duncan

Duncan is a very bright student who wants to pursue a career as a lawyer. He lives with his mother and three siblings. His father was sentenced to life in prison. He wants to ultimately become a judge to help those who lack representation. He wants to make sure people are supported and not treated differently because they are poor.

Keziah

In primary school Keziah was always worried. As the youngest of 8 children, her mother, a shopkeeper, was unable to pay school fees. Well-wishers helped her stay in school. Now, with EFAC, she is excited to continue her education and dreams of traveling the world and meeting all different types of people. Her big dream is to be able to move her family away from where they live now to a better, safer place.
