Empower a Girl’s Future in Kenya

EFAC Scholars - Girls, at a previous mentorship workshop

There is nothing more rewarding than watching your EFAC scholar excel! When we became Linet’s sponsors in 2019, we encouraged her to pursue her dreams, which, like those of many ambitious young women, evolved. Initially, she dreamed of becoming a pilot, then a ship captain, and ultimately settled on nursing.

And then, a few weeks ago, Linet shared fantastic news with us: she is graduating in the top 6% of her class and has been accepted to Pumwani Maternity College of Nursing & Midwifery. We could not be prouder!

Throughout her academic journey, Linet credits her success to the guidance and support she received from her EFAC mentors. EFAC has empowered her to make thoughtful choices while allowing her the freedom to explore her career aspirations, all while managing the demands of student life at one of Kenya’s top national schools.

As sisters, we believe in the power of education and paying it forward so that other girls have opportunities to fulfill their dreams. Since 2019, the Three Sisters Foundation has supported incredibly bright, kind, passionate, family-oriented, and driven young women through EFAC.

In light of economic factors and cultural barriers that have historically undervalued girls’ education, opening doors for young women like Linet to reach their full potential and share their gifts is transformative.

As Linet says, “I am excited to be a part of a generation that is proving that being a girl is not a limitation but a strength. I am encouraged to dream big, lead boldly, and empower other girls. Thanks to EFAC, Chrissy, Heather, and Nicole for believing in me.”

By providing access to quality education, personal development workshops, and mentorship programs, EFAC has created an environment that enables girls to explore a wide range of subjects and excel - without fear of judgment or feeling suppressed.

While many EFAC girl scholars are paired with a sponsor, some are not. The Three Sisters Foundation will match all contributions to support girls’ education up to $100,500 before December 31, 2025.

Please join us in supporting girls like Linet. As a student, she has beaten the odds stacked against her; as a future nurse, she will empower other girls and women around her.

Every gift makes a difference. For example, $1,500 provides a one-year scholarship for a girl who isn’t currently matched with a sponsor, and $150 supports a girl’s participation in a digital and financial literacy workshop, opening up more employment opportunities for them.

Please make your gift today. Thank you for supporting scholars like Linet.

Sincerely,

Chrissy, Heather, and Nicole
